Fairfield First Fridays Celebrates Summer!
Join Fairfield First Fridays on Friday, July 6th for a summer celebration in Central Park.  Fairfield First Fridays will have live music by East of Omaha, lawn games for a little friendly competition, as well as vendors and artists.  The event starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. It is a great way to spend a summer evening!
The Jefferson County Trails Council will be hosting a drawing for the 4th Annual Scavenger Hunt at the July Fairfield First Fridays.  Scavenger hunters who found all 10 punches will have their names drawn for prizes including: free ice cream from the Sweet Spot, and a gift certificate to Ila in Fairfield.  
Grab your family, friends, lawn chairs and blankets, come celebrate summer and enjoy all that makes Fairfield so great!
There will be many shops and galleries open on and around the square, a few are listed below:
Americus Gallery-100 W. Burlington Ave.  Americus Gallery will be showing Christopher Kufner's original oil paintings, featuring Italian/French Landscapes, Figurative works and Large Format Photography on archival paper of the Tuscan Countryside.  Also, showing original oil paintings by Kim Kufner, New Original watercolor and ink paintings by Genevra Bell, Art Glass Vases by David Lotton and diochroic glass jewelry by Pedro Lujano.  Gallery Hours:Tuesday - Thursday 10 – 6, Friday 10 – 8 and Saturday 10 - 5
At Home- 52 N. Main St.- Stop in and see what Rosie has going on!  Always a fun place to shop and visit!
Carnegie Historical Museum- 112 S. Court St.  Stop in and see the amazing exhibits!  Kids activity: Face painting and “crazy hair” from 5-8pm.  
Chakra Steps- Chakra Steps will be open for Art Walk until 10pm. Variety of Crystals, incense, unique gifts and local art. Some names showcased are Lynn Phippen and his son Jason Phippen, Daveed Aranda and lovely natural flower art by Diana Watt.
Chickadee- will be open 11-9 with 15% off the entire store. Stop in to see great deals on great items!
Crest Jewel- 48 N. Main St. Recent paintings by David Kupferman, Terrence Kennedy, and many pigment prints by various artists.  Open Art Walk evening 7PM onwards.
Fairfield Art Association (inside the FACC) ” Squares Around the Square" Vote for your favorite Square by emailing suzan1252@aol.com  or texting her at 641-919-2121. Be sure to give the artist name or title of the art work.
 Henderson’s- 53 W. Broadway Ave.  Friday ArtWalk. 6:30-8:30 p.m.  ‘A Fond Farewell ‘, oils on paper, Stuart McCall Libby.  
ICON Gallery- 58 N. Main St. –  Show in the main gallery: Dots and Dashes - Steven Erickson, Alexandra Janezic, Bill Teeple.  Continuing in Bill's Room on the mezzanine: Jewelry by Bill Hurlin, Drawings by Elaine Duncan
Moreheart Studios-  56 N. Main St. (Above Central Park Futon) Check out the whimsical, enchanting work of Paul Morehead and JacQueline Kumer.  Their work often involves esoteric knowledge, archetypes and the relationship of humans and nature. Stop in, they always have something fun going on! Open from 6 to 9pm
Revelations- 112 N. Main St. Hours: Friday 8 AM - 9 PM.  Peter Clemens: Yantras, Everett Day: Art Work, Freddy Fonseca: Photographs, John Schirmer: Paintings.  Music: Hannelore Stimson, Cello and Piano 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
